Verdict
Not a lot to go on but Prince Slane looks the best of those to have faced the racecourse although Decent Rose and Emencee are watched in the market. Chris Grant's charge has shown enough in his two runs at Market Rasen to suggest that an event of this nature is within his compass and the fact that the trainer actively pursued Tony Dobbin to ride it suggests that he must be confident. John Charlton's runners are always respected in bumpers and he has a history of landing gambles in this type of race. Decent Rose is of a stout jumping pedigree and is duly noted in the market. Emencee showed improved form for the switch to faster ground but would need to find more in order to trouble the likely favourite. The market should speak volumes about Loscar's claims in today's race.
