Favourites have a great record in this maiden and the market should point the way, however the feeling is that Wildcat Wizard can make a winning debut at the main expense of fellow newcomer Oasis On Island and the more experienced Firth Of Forth. The selection is Paul Cole¿s only runner at the track and his price doubled as a two-year-old. He is related to plenty of US winners and assuming the ground stays on the quick side of good, a big run looks inevitable. Whatyouwoodwishfor holds Nassau Beach on their recent York run but the latter may improve further given the trends of the stable's juveniles, whilst Mohanad can improve on his debut sixth at Doncaster where he didn't get the clearest of passages. Firth Of Forth has three runs under his belt, and certainly the form of his recent Ascot run makes him a player, with the step up to six furlongs in his favour. Kevin Ryan has some fair youngsters and the market will help guide to Mintoe's chances, whilst Acclaben is another who needs to be scrutinised in the betting. Bryan Smart has Oasis On Island and he does exceedingly well for this owner with his juveniles so he should be high on anyone's shortlists. All in all it looks tough, and just marginal preference is for Wildcat Wizard.
