Verdict

Some old rivals contest this prestigious event for lady riders, though a few appear on the downgrade. Kings Bayonet is obviously of interest after his 17-length demolition job last time but that came on heavy ground against only a couple of rivals. He has the virtue of arriving in good form but this represents a very different challenge and PEARL CASTLE is preferred. John Quinn's charge enjoyed a fine juvenile hurdling campaign at the top table and has every chance if able to translate strong credentials over timber to the Flat. The yard remains in good form and Serena Brotherton will provide capable assistance from the saddle. Tiger Lily is an unusual contender for this contest, coming here on the back of a single run when landing a Thirsk maiden over this trip. She's unexposed, represents a yard with an excellent course record and receives considerable weight from all of her rivals - she is not to be dismissed lightly. Mica Mika usually runs his race and appeals most of the remainder.
