Verdict
It was soft going when ROAR won at Carlisle recently and he can effectively race off the same mark today with an apprentice’s allowance negating a 3lb rise. Ed de Giles charge should make another bold bid but Speed Company carries 5lb extra after ending a long losing run with last week’s success at Ripon. Royal Cosmic’s recent success at Musselburgh came over 1m6f while Champagne Rules is upped in class after scoring at Pontefract and Itlaaq has his first start since landing a double in August. Medalla De Oro is back on a winning mark and will relish any further rain while Framley Garth has switched yards since winning last year’s renewal on fast ground.
