In depth

Verdict

In the most open race of the day, a chance is taken with Para Siempre ahead of a whole host of possibles including Off The Record, Genki, Tombi and Morinqua to name but a few. There are plenty of improvers here, and the winner could easily go on to make its mark in even better company in time, and with the Bryan Smart stable flying at present, hopes are high that Para Siempre can add to the tally. Granted she has been off the track since gaining a hat-trick on the all-weather at the turn of the year, but lines up fresher than most and if they come up the stands side, is ideally housed in stall 16. Genki is still lightly-raced and looked to have more to offer when capturing the Coral Sprint Handicap at Newmarket last month. If handling the going, he should figure along with Off The Record, yet another prolific all-weather winner this term. Tombi should at least turn the tables on her York conqueror Morinqua on 10lb better terms, and is also worth putting on the short-list, which in fact starts to get longer and longer the more one looks. We shall therefore stop at this point and rely on Para Siempre at what should be a decent price.
