Verdict

Aidan O’Brien runs Declarationofpeace, who ended last year with a victory in Listed company at Del Mar when just getting the better of Sound And Silence. That pair are hard to separate though William Buick prefers the latter’s stablemate and recent Doncaster novice winner Roussel. HEY JONESY won a novices' race here last summer and went close again in a valuable sales race over 6f on the Kanvesmire in August. Kevin Ryan’s colt appeared not to last home over 7f at Newmarket on his return but could take some pegging back if allowed the lead competing over 5f for the fist time. Mokaatil showed plenty of pace last season but Main Desire makes more appeal on her Listed success over track and trip at this meeting last year.
