      Verdict

      Amo Racing paid 265,000gns for Mashadi, who made his debut in a three-runner race at Newmarket and was beaten a head by an odds-on chance. He'll take some beating here but Aidan O'Brien unleashes THE CARIBBEAN, by No Nay Never and a half-brother to six winners who can make a successful debut. Brave Empire cost 450,000gns and is by Dark Angel out of a 5f two-year-old winner while Kevin Ryan, who won this last year, runs two including Mon Na Slieve, who went for 190,000gns at the Tatts Craven Breeze-up last month so must have been flying.
