Verdict
The market may prove an invaluable guide here, and with those to have raced so far appearing to be nothing out of the ordinary, it could be that one of the newcomers will oblige, with preference for King Johannes over Always Emirates. Jeremy Noseda has already produced a smart youngster to score here in the shape of the filly La Chunga, and it would be no surprise if King Johannes were to come good at the first time of asking. The son of Cape Cross holds entries in all the big juvenile events this autumn including the Mill Reef and Middle Park Stakes, and connections can make further plans if he does the job first time. Always Emirates is a full-brother to Country Reel and also has the Mill Reef pencilled in to his itinerary. With Godolphin's youngsters emerging from their slumbers of late, he will be expected to perform well. Of those to have raced. Desert Realm makes most appeal after tackling Group company at Newmarket, but he is up against some unexposed sorts and could be found wanting again, with our vote going to King Johannes.
