Verdict

Older horses outnumber the three-year-olds in this Group 3 contest and have had the upper hand in recent years. Penitent could be the pick of the former category this season as he'll like the ground and has been knocking on the door again lately. Silvestre De Sousa is certainly an interesting jockey booking. Green Destiny seems to need further nowadays, but Nationalism had subsequent Newbury winner Dux Scholar behind when landing a Listed race at Windsor. The latter is closely matched with Anmar on that effort but his stable also saddles Tazahum, who can reverse Goodwood running with Western Aristocrat on 4lb better terms. The one to beat, however, may be BIONDETTI. Godolphin has supplied the winner of this four times in the last 10 years and their colt, a Group 1 winner over this trip in Italy last year, ran a cracker on his reappearance at Maisons-Lafitte. That should have brought him on sufficiently to score here.
