Verdict
This looks wide open but LINE OF DEPARTURE has now won both starts in a handicaps after scoring at Ascot last time and Roger Varian’s colt should be thereabouts at the finish again. Mutazawwed was narrowly beaten at Hamilton on his handicap debut while Perotto has been raised 7lb for winning over the minimum trip at Sandown. Cairn Island returned a clear winner at Ayr and goes handicapping for the first time along with Ripon maiden winner Selected and Ascot runner-up Churchill Bay. Toussarok, Running Back and the latter’s stablemate Pure Dreamer are others to note.
