        Royal Rebel Seemed to relish the marathon Gold Cup distance and could struggle here under his Group 1 penalty.

        San Sebastian Slightly below par last time in Group 2 event last time out and may struggle against some of the more in-form runners.

        Persian Punch (IRE) Needs to be involved in a fight to be at his best; top class effort last time at Goodwood but that race may have had its effect.

        Jardines Lookout (IRE) Would have to put in a lifetimes best to come out on top in this affair; place chance at very best.

        Rainbow High Rarely runs a bad race at this distance; second in this race last year and looks the one to beat in this contest.

        Romantic Affair (IRE) A little below this class and ran very poorly last time; others preferred.

        Yorkshire (IRE) Much improved on last two outings and clearly in good heart; has leading chance for in-form trainer.

        Miss Lorilaw (FR) Some solid performances over 1m 4f but flopped badly on only attempt at this trip; however trainer is shrewd and in form.

        Capal Garmon (IRE) Solid effort last time at Ascot and has been aimed for this event; trainer could be in better form but still has place claims.

        Qaatef (IRE) Stepping up in trip and could be the fly in the ointment; trainer slightly out of sorts and could not be backed with any confidence.
