Verdict

Not a race to get heavily involved in and although Noble Greek has the best form on the racecourse so far there are a couple of likely looking newcomers in Hanson'D and BUSINESSMAN and we will chance the latter. Mark Johnston's string are maintaining their usual good form, and although his debutants usually improve for a run, he can get them ready to win first time. This Acclamation colt looks very interesting on paper, having increased in price at two, and being related to some classy sorts. He is likely to know his job pretty well and is the suggestion. Hanson'D is another nicely-bred colt by Pivotal out of a Woodman mare and he is related to a juvenile debut winner in addition to top two-year-old Carry On Katie. If Kevin Ryan's runners had been in better form he may have been selection material, but they are not red hot and we will take him on this time. Noble Greek has a definite edge in experience with two races under his belt, the most recent a Group 2 at Newmarket. However, he was miles behind that day, is not easy to assess, and certainly does not look one to be lumping on at short odds. Arry's Orse is bred for speed and there are winners in his pedigree, so if there is support he would be worth a second glance. Dherghaam looks more likely to do better next season, while it will be interesting to see what the market says of once-raced Beat Baby and Cracking Lass, who should both improve a fair bit. Businessman is a tentative pick in a difficult contest.
