Verdict

Just the one outright favourite has obliged in the last 10 renewals but Chancery won this at 7/1 in 2013. But the latter is penalised for winning at Ripon during the week and, along with stablemate Hit The Jackpot, finished behind Pressure Point last month. Libran beat the latter over track and trip back in May though is 13lb higher now, but Croquembouche finished runner-up here in the same month when ahead of TOP TUG. Sir Michael Stoute's charge has since run well at Goodwood despite being denied a clear run at a crucial point in the race and looks sure to go close with normal luck in-running. Penhill may yet be capable of winning off his current mark but Curbyourenthusiasm has been upped a further 6lb for finishing second here last month. Memorial Day is on the upgrade and another to consider as he attempts a longer trip in a bid for a hat-trick.
