In depth

Verdict

With the exception of Musselburgh winner American Impact, who is probably out of his depth, all of these are in the autumn's big juvenile races and are clearly held in high regard. Ebn Arab won by five lengths on his debut over C&D and has obvious scope for improvement while Dundonnell was hugely impressive on his second start at Lingfield. Afonso De Sousa came good when long odds-on over 6f at Leopardstown last time but, like Dundonnell, may struggle to get the better of STEELER on collateral form. Mark Johnston's colt got off the mark in a Goodwood maiden earlier this month, beating Rock God by three-quarters-of-a-length with Improvisation a neck away in third. The latter had earlier finished ahead of Dundonnell and Afonso De Sousa at Newmarket so Fallon's mount has to be the selection.
