A really competitive renewal of a race drenched in tradition and a chance for THREAT to gain a Group success after runner-up efforts in both the Coventry at Royal Ascot and the Richmond at Goodwood. Beaten less than a length on each occasion, he is faced by a host of talented sorts but still sets the standard. Kevin Ryan has a good record in this contest and fields a trio of contenders of which course and distance winner, Abstemious, makes greatest appeal with Jamie Spencer booked.
