Verdict

There are a few niggling doubts about the ability of some of these to last home over a mile. Henry Allingham is one as he scored over 7f at Folkestone before taking a keen hold and finishing second at Epsom. He needs to settle better while Sound Advice hung right in the closing stages over today's trip at Hamilton costing him second place. Miss Ellany was well beaten on her handicap debut over 7f at Catterick but Dansili Dutch scored over a mile at Pontefract before another good effort at Doncaster last month. She can figure in the finish but a chance is taken on VITAL CALLING who went close over today's trip at Ripon on his racecourse debut and is racing back over a mile for the first time since.
