      Verdict

      Stormin Tom looked on good terms with himself at Beverley though he's never run well when stepped up to this level. Suegioo ended a long losing run in a Class 4 at Pontefract and didn't run badly when tackling two grades higher in the Consolation Northumberland Plate. Graceful Lady, who won this a year ago, was behind in that former event and has yet to replicate last summer's excellent form. Slunovrat has a course and distance victory to his credit and made a successful reappearance at Nottingham in May. Any further rain would aid his cause. DAVY'S DILEMMA should stay the trip and acts on any going. He isn't badly treated at his best and his young rider's claim is a bonus. Arab Moon was due to run in the 3.00 at Ascot yesterday.
