St Helens have included Paul Wellens for Monday's clash with Castleford despite suffering the recurrence of an ankle injury on Good Friday.
Saints suffered an agonising defeat to arch-rivals Wigan following a last-gasp Liam Farrell try and came out of the match with several bumps and bruises.
Wellens started with the aid of painkilling injections but was substituted in the first-half, and it remains to be seen if he is able to play any part in Monday's encounter.
One player definitely out is half-back Gary Wheeler, who is facing a lengthy absence after picking up a shoulder injury.
Lee Gaskell, Chris Flannery, Leon Pryce, Josh Perry and Paul Clough all missed the Wigan match and remain on the sidelines.
A number of the U-20 side are likely to see action in their absence.
Milner return
Castleford boss Terry Matterson has made one change to the initial squad that prepared for the disappointing 28-24 defeat to Wakefield on Friday.
Teenager Adam Milner returns to the squad in place of fellow hooker Daryl Clark as the Tigers look to get their surprise title push back on track.
"We're lucky it's on again on Monday because it would have been a long seven days," said Matterson.
"It's not going to be easy going to St Helens because our record there is terrible but I'm pleased we're playing in three days' time now."
Castleford's last win at St Helens was in the third round of the Regal Trophy in December 1992 while their last league win was in the old Stones Bitter Championship in October 1990.
