Sale bounced back from their Saracens loss by recording a 27-13 win over Aviva Premiership newcomers Worcester at the AJ Bell Stadium on Friday night.
Danny Cipriani and David Seymour added first-half tries, while No 8 Josh Beaumont took the game away from Worcester soon after the break before Johnny Leota earned his side the bonus point with a try on full time.
Cipriani scored seven points with the boot, while Johnny Arr scored Worcester's only try of the game.
Overlooked by England for the World Cup, Cipriani opened the scoring with a brilliant individual effort but failed to convert, which meant that Worcester took the lead when No 12 Ryan Mills slotted two long-range penalties from the tee.
Flanker Seymour crashed over with half-time looming, with Cipriani missing the conversion but nailing a penalty as the first half came to a close.
The two sides went into the break with a slender 13-6 lead to the hosts.
Sale scored again five minutes into the second half when Beaumont, son of former England captain Bill Beaumont, picked up the ball from the base of a scrum and ran through to score.
From there, Worcester gradually improved, and the visitors deserved the try which brought them back into the game.
Arr went over from a scrum inside the right channel with 15 minutes remaining and replacement fly-half Ryan Lamb added the extras to set up a tense finish.
Sale were only seven points to the good, but held on with relative comfort and claimed a maximum five-point haul when outside centre Leota went over late on.
