Leeds manager Steve Evans wants as many as four players in on loan by the end of November

Leeds United manager Steve Evans says he is hoping to bring in four players ahead of the loan window deadline.

Evans was appointed as Leeds manager last month, but is yet to claim his first victory in charge of the club, who currently sit 19th in the Championship just three points above the relegation zone.

The Scot drew his opening two matches as Leeds boss away at Fulham and Bolton before losing to Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road.

The loan window for Football League clubs closes on November 25 and Evans expects to be busy ahead of that deadline.

"We have to get better than what we've got, you have to evaluate that and evaluate what we need. You can't go out and bring eight or nine players in," he said.

"We have said we need three or four before the loan window closes and we are working hard towards that. They have certainly been enough calls made by myself and (Leeds head of recruitment) Martyn Glover to key people at other football clubs.
