WWE Main Event: Heath Slater and Rhyno win ahead of No Mercy
Tag Team Champions to defend against Usos on Sunday night
Saturday 8 October 2016 10:31, UK
Heath Slater and Rhyno beat The Ascension ahead of their Smackdown Tag Team Title defence against The Usos at No Mercy on Sunday night.
Slater and Rhyno - who conquered The Usos at Backlash in September to become Smackdown's first twin champions - downed Konnor and Viktor on Main Event when Rhyno hit Viktor with a Gore.
The titlists scuffled with Jimmy and Jey Uso on Tuesday's edition of Smackdown after gate-crashing the Samoan-American twins' assault on American Alpha stars Chad Gable and Jason Jordan.
Slater and Rhyno will now be aiming to retain their belts live on Sky Sports Box Office on Sunday night, denying The Usos a third stint as Tag Team Champions in WWE in the process.
Elsewhere on Main Event, Naomi defeated Natalya, who had her two front teeth knocked out on Saturday while wrestling at a show in Las Vegas.
