The Dudley Boyz will join the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018

The Dudley Boyz tag team has become the second inductee into WWE's Hall of Fame class of 2018.

The popular duo, whose title reign count stands at 22, will be part of the annual celebrations around WrestleMania weekend in April.

The Dudleys rose to fame in Extreme Championship Wrestling during the mid-1990s with a hardcore style which heavily utilised tables as a weapon of choice.

Even today, their arrival is greeted with requests for tables - as illustrated by their appearance at the Raw 25th anniversary show, where Heath Slater was the unfortunate competitor slammed through the plywood.

The pair moved from ECW to WWE in 1999 and found a pair of teams just as willing to push competition to its extreme ends in The Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian.

The trio of tag teams turned the squared circle into their own demolition derby, using tables, ladders and chairs to punish one another.

Their hardcore tendencies led to the first-ever TLC match at SummerSlam 2000 and a classic sequel at WrestleMania X-Seven.
