Rory McIlroy is targeting more success coming into the final months of his 2026 season, as the Northern Irishman bids to win his eighth Race to Dubai title.
After completing the final leg of his career Grand Slam at The Masters and guiding Team Europe to a Ryder Cup victory in 2025, McIlroy has enjoyed another excellent year and can tie Colin Montgomerie for the most Order of Merit titles won on the DP World Tour.

His 2026 season hasn't been quite as fruitful as his previous, but McIlroy, who began 2026 at the DP World Tour's Dubai Invitational in January, has enjoyed plenty of success.
McIlroy later commenced his PGA Tour season in February at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, before placing as a runner-up at The Genesis Invitational. He headed to TPC Sawgrass in March, but was unable to defend his title as The Players champion.
The following month, McIlroy retained his Green Jacket at The Masters, pipping Scottie Scheffler to victory by one shot to claim his lone victory of the year so far.
McIlroy later claimed a top ten finish at the PGA Championship but fell to tied-32nd at the US Open and tied for 40 at The Open, before ending his PGA Tour season tied fourth at the Tour Championship.

As we approach the climax of the 2026 DP World Tour season, Rory McIlroy is currently confirmed to play in one more event before the DP World Tour Play-Offs in the Middle East.
McIlroy is scheduled to compete in the DP World India Championship at Delhi Golf Club in New Delhi from October 15-18. However, he could choose to add further events to his schedule as he looks to defend his Race to Dubai title.
Later in the year, McIlroy is set to return to Australia to compete in the Capital.com Australian Open from December 3-6 at Kingston Heath.

When does McIlroy play in the TGL?
McIlroy features in the TGL, a tech-infused golf league where PGA Tour stars feature in a unique team format, with every match being played at SoFi Center - a purpose-built venue for TGL.
He plays for Boston Common Golf, who were knocked out in the semi-finals of the SoFi Cup in 2026 by Jupiter Links Golf Club, with the TGL, live on Sky Sports, set to return for its third season in December. A 2027 season schedule will be announced in due course.

Which other events has McIlroy won?
McIlroy's five major wins are the 2011 US Open, 2012 PGA Championship, 2014 The Open, 2014 PGA Championship and both of the 2025 and 2026 Masters tournaments.
He made his Ryder Cup debut in 2010 and has featured in every edition since, helping Team Europe to victory over Team USA in six of his eight appearances - including two on American soil.
McIlroy heads into 2027 as a 30-time winner on the PGA Tour, including four wins at the Truist Championship, three at the Tour Championship, two at The Players and two at the Canadian Open.
On the DP World Tour, McIlroy has also won a host of illustrious events including two Amgen Irish Opens, the Genesis Scottish Open, The DP World Tour Championship, and four Hero Dubai Desert Classics.
