Bubba Watson was one of three USA Ryder Cup hopefuls to practice with some of the American team at Hazeltine on Monday.
A number of Davis Love III's side visited Minnesota for a practice round, with Watson joined by Ryder Cup rookies Justin Thomas and Daniel Berger to gain experience in playing the course.
Rickie Fowler, one of Love's initial selections, Brooks Koepka, Brandt Snedeker, Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth and PGA champion Jimmy Walker completed the list of players involved in the session.
Vice-captains Jim Furyk and Steve Stricker were also in attendance, as the USA prepares to try and end a spell of European dominance in the biennial contest.
Love named three of his four Ryder Cup captain's picks earlier this month, with the final player to be announced following the conclusion of this week's season-ending Tour Championship.
The decision to invite Watson, Thomas and Berger would indicate the trio are the main contenders to claim that final spot, with all three also featuring in Atlanta this week at the FedExCup finale.
Three-time Ryder Cup player Watson hasn't posted a PGA Tour top-10 since March, as Thomas and Berger both look to make a maiden appearance in the tournament.
World No 7 Watson ended ninth in the qualifying standings and has won just three of his previous Ryder Cup matches, while Berger and Thomas have both been mentioned by Love at several points over the season.
