Patrick Reed’s Barclays victory cemented his place in the US Ryder Cup team, leaving Bubba Watson and Rickie Fowler among the players relying on a captain’s pick for Hazeltine.
Five of the eight places had already been filled prior to the opening FedExCup play-off, the final qualifying event, with the remaining three confirmed after Reed's one-shot win at Bethpage Black.
US Open champion Dustin Johnson and two-time major winner Jordan Spieth were already assured of finishing first and second respectively, with Phil Mickelson booked in for an 11th consecutive Ryder Cup appearance.
Jimmy Walker made an early exit in New Jersey but was already in the line-up after his PGA Championship victory, while Brooks Koepka confirmed a first Ryder Cup spot with seven top-10 finishes in 2016.
Reed parachuted himself from eighth to fourth in the qualification standings by claiming a narrow win ahead Emiliano Grillo and Sean O'Hair at The Barclays, leapfrogging Walker, Koepka and Brandt Snedeker and Zach Johnson.
Snedeker and Johnson hung on to the final two spots for Davis Love III's side, with Watson his nearest challenger after a final-round 66 moved him from 10th to ninth in the standings.
Fowler, who need to finish second or better this week to qualify, had held briefly held a two-shot lead during the final round but also missed out after a back-nine 39.
JB Holmes and Matt Kuchar are two of the others now relying on a pick from Love, who will announce three of his four remaining selections after the conclusion of the BMW Championship on September 11.
