The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have secured the signing of free agent safety J.J. Wilcox in the third round of signings, and have also re-signed defensive tackle Sealver Siliga.
Wilcox, 26, spent four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys between 2013 and 2016 and joins the Buccaneers on a two-year deal, the NFL franchise have confirmed.
Originally a third-round pick out of Georgia Southern in 2013, Wilcox featured 58 times for the Cowboys with 38 starts over his four seasons in Dallas, recording 196 tackles, five interceptions, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Despite starting 29 games in the 2014 and 2015 seasons, Wilcox only started on four occasions last year due mostly to heavy competition from Bradley McDougald, Chris Conte and Keith Tandy.
His two-year deal is reported to be worth $8.5m.
Elsewhere, the Bucs have also announced they have re-signed defensive tackle Siliga.
The 26-year-old, who was signed last season from the Seattle Seahawks, played six times throughout 2016 for Tampa Bay, registering 10 tackles and one sack.
Siliga has featured for the San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, New England Patriots and had two spells with the Seahawks since going undrafted in 2011.
Saturday also saw a host of other free-agent moves across the NFL, including wide receiver Kendall Wright joining the Chicago Bears on a one-year, $4m deal, and safety Daniel Sorensen signing a four-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs worth $16m with an additional $2m in incentives.
The Jacksonville Jaguars confirmed former Arizona Cardinals guard Earl Watford on a two-year, $6m deal, while Super Bowl LI champions New England Patriots have brought in former Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Lawrence Guy on a four-year contract worth up to $20m.
