Botti ace set for Prix d'Ispahan next

Marco Botti has decidded to send Dubai World Cup third Planteur back to France for his next race in the Prix d'Ispahan at Longchamp. Botti's five-year-old made an excellent start for new connections when beaten only three and a half lengths into third behind Monterosso in the Dubai World Cup. Winner of the Prix Ganay last year for Elie Lellouche, he will be given a bit more time to get over his exertions. "With Planteur we are leaning towards the Prix d'Ispahan," said Botti. "He's still in the Tattersalls Gold Cup in Ireland but they are over the same weekend so it will be one or the other. "We'll monitor the ground and where we think it will suit him best is where he will run. "He's very well, he's in very good form and the d'Ispahan is his likely target." Botti also went close on World Cup night with Joshua Tree, who finished second to Opinion Poll in the Dubai Gold Cup and could have the Ascot equivalent as his next aim. He said: "We've entered Joshua Tree in the Gold Cup but we'll consider a few other options. "Obviously he would need a prep race before Ascot if that is the way we decide to go with him."
