Frankel could lie in wait for St James's Palace Stakes winner
Most Improved could be granted a supplementary entry for the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood after his striking win in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.
The Brian Meehan-trained colt was a major ante-post gamble for the QIPCO 2000 Guineas but a setback ahead of his proposed comeback in the Craven Stakes forced him to miss the Classic.
He then travelled over to Chantilly for the French Derby but met plenty of trouble in running and lost both of his front shoes.
With the cards finally falling right, he won Tuesday's St James's Palace Stakes under a strong Kieren Fallon drive.
In The Frame
Although a return to France is under consideration, he is also in the frame to take on Frankel in the Sussex Stakes on August 1.
Meehan said: "I've not had a chance to speak to the owner yet regarding plans, and I'd want his input.
"I was thinking of races like the Prix Jacques le Marois (Deauville) and the Sussex is a possibility.
"He'd had a tough couple of weeks since France. It was tough in the spring to miss the Guineas as he'd been working so well and home and doing everything so enthusiastically - it was nice to see him win.
"He'll have a few days off but he's looking great - I thought he looked tremendous on Tuesday."
