Verdict

A wide-open finale which is almost certain to be run at a good gallop with the likes of Parramount and Densworth confirmed front-runners. Albert's Back pulled clear with the runner-up when getting back to winning ways at Wetherby and last year’s Galway Hurdle fourth Glan is well worth a market check despite not having raced since pulled up at Listowel in September. Homme Public continues to run well and Knickerbockerglory was second in the Imperial Cup at Sandown back over hurdles. A switch back to the smaller obstacles could help Call Of The Wild but Olly Murphy holds a strong hand in this with a trio of runners. Lightly campaigned this term, WASHINGTON was third in this last year when 3lb higher in the weights and cheekpieces are added today. He’s preferred to the recent Wetherby scorer Go Dante and Ukantango. Donald McCain runs four with Theo Gillard’s mount Fruit N Nut arriving in the best form and Gaoth Chuil, JPR One and Blueking D'Oroux were also winners last time. Soul Icon has won his last five and seven of his last eight but is having a first run of the year.
