Verdict
Almaydan and Chivalry look to have the race between them and we will side with Richard Lee's representative. A likeable sort over hurdles, he improved consistently throughout the season to chase home Macs Joy in the Swinton Hurdle. The fact that he hails from an unfashionable stable might make him a bigger price than he ought to be and on this basis alone, he looks the percentage play. Chivalry is in receipt of weight from the selection and has to be respected on the evidence of his hurdles form although he was prone to making the odd mistake over the smaller obstacles. Town Crier looked useful on his debut over fences at Wetherby. He sunk the useful Kadount on that day and connections have been bullish about the future of him from day one. Chauvinist was a useful handicapper on his day over hurdles while Bernardon's better days look distant memories at present. An informative race in which the stoutly bred Almaydan is selected.
