    Verdict

A Woman In Love is a progressive mare having won her last four starts and even though she has more to do now off her new mark is hard to oppose and gets the vote over True Night and Warden Complex. Like the selection, the last mentioned comes here in good form having won his last two starts and has to be respected off just a 3lb higher mark than for his latest success, that is already working out well. He rates a bigger threat than the David Nicholls-trained True Night who has been running consistently well of late, including at Newmarket on Tuesday, but may be in the grip of the handicapper at present. Roger Charlton's Colour Wheel lost no caste in defeat behind Ettrick Water last time and has to be respected along with Manaar, for who the booking of Frankie Dettori takes the eye. The handicapper seems to have the measure of Ed Dunlop's Secret Place judged by his latest effort and it is to be hoped that it is not the same case with A Woman In Love. The Brooke Sanders-trained mare has done nothing wrong of late, winning handicaps at Brighton (three times) and Lingfield in her last four starts. While the daughter of Muhtarram undoubtedly has more to do now, she won with plenty in hand last time and there may be more to come.
