        Verdict

        Godolphin's juveniles have been running well first time up and they are fancied to have another debut winner here with Makrama, who gets the vote over another newcomer Subyan Dreams and Lady Ann Summers. The last mentioned was, not surprisingly, well beaten in the Queen Mary on her debut and raced at a more realistic level when third in a Kempton maiden last time. She remains of interest as trainer Brian Meehan obviously holds her in high regard. She rates a bigger threat African Gift, Theas Dance and Gennie Bond of the quartet to have raced previously. Richard Hannon, who trains Gennie Bond, is also responsible for Valentin, a daughter of King Of Kings. Mick Channon's juveniles appear less forward this year than previously so the chances are that Dance Flower may need the run and of more interest is Peter Chapple-Hyam's Spectrum filly Subyan Dreams, who hails from a stable that has done particularly well with their two-year-olds this season. However, Makrama is a likely type on pedigree being by Danzig out of a top class American mare and, with the stable's youngsters in such good form, she looks worth a bet first time out.
