Verdict
Naval Crown seems to have peaked earlier in the season when winning the Jubilee Stakes here and beating stablemate Creative Force in the process. The latter has been off the track since July but beat several of these when winning last year’s renewal, including recent Group 3 winners Rohaan and Art Power and the Prix de La Floret winner KINROSS. But Ralph Beckett’s charge arrives in the form of his life having picked up his first Group 1 in France and can strike again despite the shorter trip. The Prix Jean Prat winner Tenebrism finished behind the selection at Longchamp while Perfect Power has been beaten by older sprinters since landing the Commonwealth Cup over track and trip. Brad The Brief landed a Group 2 at the Curragh back in May but hasn’t raced since.
