        Verdict

        There is plenty of stamina in the pedigree of EBEDIYIN (NAP) on the dam's side and Dermot Weld's colt certainly wasn't stopping when getting back to winning ways over 1m4f at Naas last month when Sword Fighter was third. He may outstay those with form in better races including Landofhopeandglory, bidding to give Aidan O'Brien a fifth win in this in the last 10 years. Ballydoyle also have Leopardstown maiden winner Cole Porter in the starting line-up. Ormito was third behind Derby runner-up US Army Ranger in the Chester Vase last month so goes on the short-list and Harbour Law won over 1m6f under a big weight in a handicap at Sandown but Goldmember's Thirsk win hasn't been franked. Opposition is on a hat-trick but will need even more and though Mark Johnston has a good record in this neither Soldier In Action nor Beaverbrook look good enough.
