Well beaten in last year’s renewal, DREAM OF DREAMS was gelded after that and has looked better than ever so far this season. He won the Hungerford at Newbury before landing his first Group 1 in the Sprint Cup on soft ground at Haydock and can confirm that form with the runner-up Glen Shiel. Art Power and Lope Y Fernandez finished further behind at Haydock but One Master won the Prix de la Foret at Longchamp before finishing second in last year’s renewal with Cape Byron, Brando and The Tin Man all behind and has followed the same path this time. The progressive Oxted landed the Darley Cup at Newmarket in July and looks a real threat if handling the soft ground having undergone wind surgery since while Starman remains unbeaten after winning a Listed sprint at York but has only raced on faster going so far. Happy Power has been in fine form over 7f and is preferred to Sonaiyla of the rest.
