Verdict

Some speedy fillies, as you would expect contest this Group 3 with the likes of Attraction, Catstar, Vermilliann all having strong claims, but a chance is taken with Majestic Desert, who will be suited by a return to this trip, having found six-furlongs stretching her at York. She does need to improve on what she has shown to date, but she is from a stable that won this two years ago with Queen's Logic, who carried the same colours to victory. Attraction has done nothing wrong, improving with each outing. She is quite a leggy filly, who will be well suited by this stiff five-furlongs. Catstar, who was made long odds on to make a winning debut at Leicester, didn't disappoint, but she will need to show much improvement to figure here, while Vermilliann is another who comes into this unbeaten. There is little between her and the selection, using Oman Sea as a yardstick and it will be a surprise if she isn't involved at the business end. Promenade didn't look to be enjoying the fast ground at Redcar when scrambling home in a minor contest. She has more on her plate here, while Show The Roses looked nothing special when turned over at Sandown on her debut. From the same family as the high-class Johannesburg, she is surely better than she showed there and it would be folly to underestimate her.
