Verdict

Richard Hannon and Al Shaqab teamed up to win last year's renewal with Baitha Alga and KING OF ROOKS now wears the same colours having romped home in the Listed National Stakes at Sandown. Runner-up Buratino has boosted the form with subsequent victories in the Woodcote at Epsom and the Coventry here on Tuesday and the Hannon colt will take the all beating in this. Stablemate Log Out Island has joined Godolphin after making a winning start in a course and distance maiden. He should go well and is preferred to Ballydoyle's Waterloo Bridge, who got off the mark dropped back to 5f at Tipperary a fortnight ago. Rogues' Gallery opened his account at Ayr last time but stablemate Riflescope is preferred after appearing to find 6f too far in a conditions race at Newbury. French Encore won a novice event in good style at Bath while Shanghai Glory made all to score over 6f at Nottingham and both make more appeal than winning debutants Jazz Legend and Zebstar. Ajaya was sent off favourite for his racecourse debut but came up just short and better is expected today.
