In depth

Verdict

The inaugural running of this Group 1 sprint can go to the filly TIGGY WIGGY. She set a fast pace when a creditable third in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket and will appreciate the drop back to 6f having won the Group 1 Cheveley Park last year when beating Anthem Alexander and Tendu. Stablemate Kool Kompany also has plenty of pace as his second in last year's Phoenix Stakes attests while Hootenanny won the Windsor Castle here last year and went on to Grade 1 success back in the States. Adaay is progressing well, winning a Group 2 at Haydock last month and ending Limato's unbeaten record in the process. Jungle Cat and New Providence also have something to find with Adaay and Paul Hanagan prefers the latter to Muhaarar. Goken and El Valle are closely matched on their respective Group 3 wins in France while Cyclogenisis is unbeaten in three starts in the United States and partnered by a leading American rider in John Velazquez.
