Verdict

The winner of eight of 10 outings, THE REVENANT arrives fresh from landing a Group 2 at Longchamp on Arc weekend a fortnight ago. Francis-Henri Graffard’s charge has his first tilt at the highest level but winning form in testing ground could see the French raider get the better of Magna Grecia. The Ballydoyle colt beat King Of Change in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket but hasn’t raced since disappointing in the Irish version back in May while Benbatl returned to action with a defeat of King Of Comedy in a Group 2 at HQ last month but ran below par on his only previous start in heavy going. Century Dream ran a big race in last year’s renewal when ahead of Lord Glitters but has so far failed to reproduce that effort while the well regarded Mohaather is the most interesting of the remainder having been off the track since landing the Greenham at Newbury back in April.
