Verdict
It’s back on to the inner course for this and the less testing ground should see MAGICAL (NAP) back to her best. The Ballydoyle filly struggled in the Arc last time but lost nothing in earlier defeats to Crystal Ocean and Enable before winning the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown in good style. She’s the one to beat in this. Addeybb would prefer more testing underfoot conditions as when beating Pondus in a Group 3 at Haydock back in August and Coronet looks a bigger threat having won twice at the highest level in France since beaten by the selection in the Fillies & Mares Stakes at last year’s fixture. I Can Fly has a bit to find with the latter while Japanese raider Deirdre finished behind Magical at Leopardstown having beaten Mehdaayih in the Nassau at Goodwood earlier though the ground is worry for both Regal Reality and Fox Tal.
