Verdict
Richard Hannon who excels in these type of events can provide the answer again in the shape of Chinsola, ahead of Bathwick Bill and Sevillano. Successful 12 months ago with Puma, Hannon has a dual-pronged attack, with Lord Links also representing the East Everleigh handler, but it is Chinsola who looks the one to be on. The son of Inchinor beat the Coventry Stakes fifth Fancy Foxtrot over the course and distance last time, a result that pleasantly pleased connections who immediately nominated this race as the next target, despite the fact that he carries the maximum 10lb penalty. Confidence is high that he can prove good enough to beat the equally in form Bathwick Bill who also lines up chasing a hat-trick. His successes, at Bath and Lingfield, do not look as good as the selection's on paper, but he is clearly a progressive sort and will go close. Sevillano is also on the upgrade judged on his Epsom victory, and he is in fact two pounds better off with Chinsola for a half-length defeat at Lingfield. He then is another danger, but we remain loyal to Richard Hannon's juvenile to add to his tally.
