Verdict
A large field goes to post for the first on the card but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning but the principals appear to be Shirazi, Conroy and Toi Express and we will take a chance on Shirazi. The gelding from the David Gandolfo yard won well last time out when defeating Strum Und Drang over course and distance and with conditions again in his favour he will be hard to beat.Conroy rates the main danger on his latest second behind Feel The Pride. However on that occasion he gave the impression he would be seen to better effect over a longer trip so for that reason we will oppose him on this occasion. Toi Express is another worthy of respect but he may need this after a 316 day absence. Of the remainder Superluna is from a top yard but was disappointing last time so we are happy to side with Shirazi.
