      Verdict

A decent looking renewal of the Diadem with the likes of the consistent Acclamation and Lochridge plus the improving Wokingham winner Fayr Jag in the line up but it will be a surprise if this does not go to Airwave. Henry Candy's filly only has a Temple Stakes success to her name this term but placed efforts behind Choisir in the golden Jubilee Stakes, Oasis Dream in the July Cup and Somnus in the Sprint Cup make her the one that they all have to beat. Acclamation's third in the Nunthorpe gives him a big chance and Gerald Cottrell's four-year-old rates a bigger danger than Lochridge, a winner over course and distance at the Shergar Cup meeting. Fayr Jag has carried on the upgrade since his success here at the Royal fixture but needs to improve again, as do the likes of Torosay Spring and Crystal Castle but Airwave is the one to be on.
