In depth

Verdict

Qaysar ran well in this grade at Doncaster on his reappearance and is no forlorn hope being much preferred to older stablemate Oh This Is Us. Marie's Diamond ran the finish out of the odds-on Global Giant in a Group 3 at Newmarket two weeks ago but couldn’t contain the late charge of My Oberon. Duke Of Hazzard is a Group 2 winner eased in grade but he was disappointing on his final two starts last year and looks held by Sir Busker on the form book. The latter won the Hunt Cup consolation here last summer and didn’t do a lot wrong thereafter but may have to give best to the highly-progressive HAQEEQY. Jim Crowley takes over from an apprentice on the impressive Lincoln winner who is well worth a try at this level. Solid Stone won twice over a mile last year but his future may lie over further.
