In depth
Verdict
Corridor Creeper is taken to bounce back at the expense of Colonel Cotton, Baltic King and Little Edward in yet another wide open contest. Corridor Creeper has had the misfortune to find one too good on no less than six occasions this term, but did get his head in front at Epsom last month, cruising into the lead two furlongs out and holding his rivals comfortably. He then ran a blinder in the Portland at Doncaster, beaten a whisker by Halmahera, with Baltic King and Colonel Cotton in close attendance. At the weights, they too have claims here and there should not be too much between the trio at the finish. The selection should certainly turn around Yarmouth form with Palawan on these terms, and he can gain due reward after a decent effort in the Ayr Gold Cup. Little Edward ran probably his best race of the season when just caught at The Curragh on his latest start, and must not be ruled out of calculations, but Corridor Creeper has solid credentials and gets the vote.
