Kal Barg looked a smart prospect when winning last time and he can score again today over the likes of Seeking Star and Ibn Khaldun. The selection showed a good attitude to beat Prohibit last time. It was a noteworthy effort as he won from a poor draw and he was also slowly away. He looks progressive and we think he can score again today. Seeking Star beat Dresden Doll at Windsor last time and this colt from the Mick Channon yard is clearly quite useful. This step-up in trip should not be a problem and we expect him to go well, although he has been off the racecourse since early June so he may be sharper for the run. Ibn Khaldun is the Godolphin representative here and the yard are in good form at present. He won easily at Leicester last time and he does have some fancy entries so this impressively bred colt is afforded plenty of respect. Nowaira won well last time and the yard are really firing so she is another to enter calculations, although her win did come over a mile so it is a surprise to see her dropped in trip. This is a race full of promising types and the narrow vote is given to Kal Barg.
