In depth

Verdict

Man Murphy could be the one to side with in a small but select field, Ballinclay King may be the one to chase him home. The selection has put in two promising displays this season after showing very little last term. His recent second to sound of cheers was his best performance to date and with ground and trip in his favour he should go one better this afternoon. Ballinclay King took a three runner affair at Kelso, before running well in a better contest at the same track. This is more his level and he will be a major threat. Freetown has to shoulder top-weight but did run with plenty of promise last time and should go well under Tony Dobbin. Lauderdale completes the line up and he can't be discounted on his October victory at Kelso. So just four runners but they can all be given some sort of a chance and we will give Man Murphy the tentative vote
