Verdict

A poor turnout for this decent prize and top-weight Crazy Horse should be good enough to land the spoils, Culcabock and Skenfrith may fight for the runners up spot. Len Lungo's star veteran had a poor time of it last season, but has put in two very good efforts this season at Wetherby. He has won off a mark of 151 in the past so after steadily dropping down the ratings he could be very fairly treated and ready to strike. Skenfrith was successful over course and distance last time on similar ground, beating Broken Knights by a comfortable four lengths. Culcabock was well beaten off in that contest, but he does have a big weight pull this afternoon and should finish a lot nearer to that rival. Sea Ferry completes the field but does look up against it on what he has achieved to date. Tactics will play a big part here, but if Crazy Horse can recapture some of his past ability he will be hard to beat
