Verdict
Black Friday gained his third victory on the track when landing this a year ago and is just 1lb higher than when scoring at Pontefract later. He had Call Me Ginger behind when runner-up here in April but the latter is better suited by faster conditions as he showed over track and trip last month. Aberama Gold would be a threat on good going but didn't run well on fast ground at Doncaster last time and QUEST FOR FUN (NAP) has more scope than these rivals. Narrowly beaten in two runs at Newcastle at the backend of last year, he's been raised 7lb for beating a subsequent winner at Thirsk but is progressing fast enough to defy the extra.
