    Verdict

A competitive race for the money can go to SILENT LUCIDITY, who does not appear to be as ground-dependent as leading rival Petella, while Ballade De La Mer is a danger. The last-named is raised just 2lbs for winning a minor Musselburgh handicap over 1m 5f last time, but this extra couple of furlongs won't be a problem. Chocolate Caramel has a fair bit to find with that opponent on their running that day. Petella stays very well but wants it quicker than today's description, and we prefer Silent Lucidity. Peter Niven's charge goes on any ground and should be capable of defying a 3lb rise over this greater test of stamina.
